Graphic45 Christmas Carol Cards and Inspiration

We were honoured to have Canadian Scrapbooker's, Kelly Klapstein join us and help host a Double the Fun sketch contest and fundraiser for Hope for Haiti.  Many of the attendees completed double page layouts for the contest, based on Kelly's sketch that would be going in the Summer 2015 Canadian Scrapbooker issue, and a few lucky, talented gals got their layouts published too!

One of my favourite techniques, dabbing inks onto the stencil, misting with water, then pressing the paper onto the stencil, transferring the ink onto the paper.  Gives such a beautiful effect!  Go on, you know you want to try it now . . . I'll be here when you get back ;-)

Release Your Inner Child and Relieve Stress . . .

If you've been looking for an excuse to act like a kid again - look no further!  Adult colouring is all the rage right now and is toted as an excellent way to relieve stress.  This new trend is relaxing, calming, and FUN!  An excellent way to engage your creative side without worrying how it turns out.

Jamie Dougherty's "The Bloom Book" and "The Enchanted Book" are two incredible examples of adult colouring books available, and you can get them at Scrap Addicts!

There are really no rules to colouring, and your colouring tools are endless - markers, crayons, pastels, pencil crayons, water colours, you name it!  For the really crafty souls out there you can also play around with different mediums, such as clear gesso like Cori-Lyn has done in this gorgeous Bloom Girl project that she then used water colours on:

Of course there is always the vast selection of printable sheets and tutorials on Pinterest!  Search "Adult Coloring" and take a quick browse, you'll be inspired in no time!

Flashback Friday with Frank!!

Remember those AMAZING classes with Frank Garcia back in February?!
