We have some great classes coming up - why not join in the fun?

10am-5pm we'll create FIVE double page layouts and then you can crop till 10pm**!!!
$55 and this includes a $30 store credit towards your supply purchase.

One of our most popular classes - YOU pick the paper and you go home with 10 single page or 5 double layouts!!!
Andrea will help you select your paper and embellishments and walk you through your layouts and you go home with a huge sense of accomplishment!

This month, Andrea worked with the Shimelle paper line but you can choose whichever paper suits you!  This class is for all levels - newbies to pros!

This month we are playing with sprays, panpastels, and a surprise element!

Basic supplies needed.  No art experience necessary!

630-930 PM

This month we will colour one card and then do an image swap....
What's an image swap?
Well, you colour your favourite image at home and make a list of the colours you used.
Stamp the image for everyone else attending and bring your coloured image with you.  At the class, everyone will take home a bunch of images that they can colour along with your list of colours.  Most students take photos of the other coloured images for reference.
This is a fun, laid back night - hope you can make it!

630 - 830 PM

We are thrilled to open up our Teens and Tweens class again!  This month we will be doing a canvas using sprays and a surprise element!
Basic supplies needed but everything else is provided!

Rheanna created this at a crop at the store and it was so beautiful, we talked her into teaching it!!
Come let the soft colours and the ocean take you away from winter!

You can register for any of these classes by giving us a call at 587-523-1713!

CHA - Last Day

We are back into the swing of things!
We had an amazing time in California but are happy to be back home.

We saw many wonderful goodies while we were there - probably my most favourite part are the inspirational pieces that sit in the booth.  It is so nice to see pieces used in ways you never thought about before!  We love when you leave comments on the photos for us as it lets us know what you love too!

We are very excited about a couple of new tools - the Minc by Heidi Swapp and the Fuse Tool by We R Memory Keepers. - if you click on those, it will take you to a short video so you can see exactly what they do.
We will have the Minc set up in the store so that you can come in and use it on a pay by use basis!

If you are the first person to post on our Facebook page what the five brand new sets of Gelatos are called, you will win a fabulous Faber Castell Prize!!!

Wishing you all a fabulous week!

CHA RECAP - Day Three

Well we made it another day!

This morning, we were up bright and early to play with some Ranger goodies and get a little dirty.  And then we shopped...and shopped, and shopped and then shopped a little more!

Shopping is actually harder than it sounds.  We are always on the lookout for new and exciting products and then trying to decide which of the goodies we are going to bring in.  Today, we made an emergency text to one of our staff members because we were stuck between two lines -- thanks Bree for helping us!

We really wish you could all come with us to help us shop ...but since we cant quite swing that, we are thankful for social media!  We love listening to what you guys think too!  We got several texts from a lovely lady asking us to look at certain goodies and send her feedback (thanks Alissa!) and a Facebook post asking us to check out a certain company which we have now picked up (thanks Elsa!)

We are really excited that we picked up the coolest new Heidi Swapp machine for the store - the Minc!!  Gold foil is one of the biggest trends we noticed here and the machine does just that - it foils!  And not just in gold but in 11 different colours! The machine will be available for use in the store so stay tuned for details!  Check out what this machine can do!

And...don't forget to check out our FLICKR ALBUM from today!!  Leave us some comments so we can finish up our shopping tomorrow!

And most of you know that both of us don't love having our photo taken...but how can you resist Tim?!

Saturday, 10 January 2015

Well we survived another day!

Our feet are a little tired but we are back at the hotel poring over catalogs and photos trying to figure out what we absolutely must have.....

And there is a lot!

We didn't even get halfway through the booths but we did get lots of goodies to bring home!!
We can't tell you who all gave us goodies because we don't want to get anyone in trouble .... but let me tell you that it is AWESOME!

We ordered a ton of new Prima and had a great visit with Frank Garcia - we saw his projects for his upcoming class with us in February and we cannot even begin to describe how beautiful they are....

We had a quick visit with Jamie Dougherty as she was busy doing some stunning make and takes in the booth playing with the new Prima watercolour pencils (which I was sure we didn't need but Jamie proved me wrong).  And if you thought you loved her work, just wait till you see the classes she is doing with us!!

We have another Ranger class in the morning and then will hit the sales floor to do some more orders.  If there is something you are wanting, don't be shy about letting us know!

The internet is not behaving itself very much so the best way for us to share out photos is over on our FLICKR SITE - be sure to let us know what you love.  And I apologize that we didn't get a chance to edit all the photos but we have to be up early for another fun day of shopping tomorrow!

Here is one of our favourite photos of the day...if you read through the FLICKR SITE, you will find out why!

CHA Recap - Day One

Well the fun has officially begun!
We are in sunny California and spent the day today in classes getting sneak peeks at new products, meeting fun scrappy friends, and learning how to use our goodies in new ways.
We were both lucky enough to get into Tim Holtz's class this morning.  We love taking Ranger classes - not only do you learn so many cool things but Ranger is also one of the most generous companies out there.  When we first walked into the class, we were excited to see his brand new Ornate Metal Flip Frame sitting on the table...along with a whole lot of other goodies (they are seriously generous!).  Tim talked a lot about how distress doesn't have to mean grungy (whattttttttttttttttt????) and how it is great to mix the old with the new.  Honestly, Tim is an incredible teacher.  Very organized and everything goes off without a hitch.

And then, he shared with us Ranger's big release this year - Cracked Pistachio!

It is a brand new, GORGEOUS colour!  And...they will be releasing one brand new colour every month for the next year!  And they will be releasing it in all the mediums - distress paint, distress stain spray, distress ink and reinker, distress stain, and distress marker.  And......... we each got to take one of each home with us!!

Also included in our brand new unreleased goodies - a beautiful stamp set!  And since we got two....maybe we will have to give one away?  Stay tuned!...

Up next, Ivy headed off to have  a class with Sizzix while I headed off to Dina Wakley's class.  Ivy got to play with several of the Sizzix designers and several different dies.

In Dina's class, we played with limited supplies (on purpose) and created a very unique art piece. Dina strongly encouraged us to go back to our stores and teach it and so I am pretty sure I will do that!  Here is a sneak peek:

We then headed off for some more fun - Ivy got to play with Dyan Reavley and her new paints.  One of the best things about CHA is how we go into a class thinking we don't need the products...and then you play with them and add them to your "must buy" list!!  Ivy says we definitely need these new paints - check out what she made with them!

Cori-Lyn was excited to take part in a class with Stencil Girl, a company that we fell in love with when we first opened.  We played with lots of paints, created lots of layers and got messy!  Sadly, both of us forgot a craft scrubbie so my hands look a little loved :)

Our last class of the day was with Elizabeth Crafts.  We got some great ideas for some Teens and Tweens classes (or maybe even a Mom and Me) that will take us out of our scrappy boxes so stay tuned for that!

Tomorrow morning, the show floor opens up so be prepared for a TON of photos!  Also, be sure to follow us on Instagram and Facebook for sneak peeks throughout the day!
